Show:  Ticket to the Show – Ticket’s debut album AWAKE  from 1971 is one of the most heavily bootlegged underground albums of the era. Hendrix inspired acid blues to Buddy Miles and  Traffic style jazzy funk, this is a classic must have Desert Island Album.   Triple H 100.1 FM  presents a 2 hour special featuring interviews with lead vocalist Trevor Tombleson (this pre-recorded show will be repeated later in the year)..

Show: Deep Purple 1968-76- Tribute to Jon Lord [b. 9 June 1941 -d. 16th July 2012] – Jon Lord had to be one of the most innovative and influential keyboard players of the 20th century.  Classically trained, he brought together classical, jazz and hard driving rock and formed the nucleus of the band who invented HEAVY METAL ROCK. In this feature we pay tribute to the man and play 2 HOURS of “Purple” classics, music from the period 1968-1976, Deep Purple’s heyday!
